Fast Start is a partnership between Midland High School and Illinois Central College (ICC) that provides an opportunity for academically qualified seniors to enroll in college classes through ICC as part of their high school coursework. This unique partnership between Midland and ICC allows high school students to attend college classes during the fall, spring, and summer while earning both high school and college credits.

During the students junior year, the opportunity to apply to Fast Start will be given. After the students completes an interview process and academic credit review, up to 10 juniors will be selected to attend ICC as a senior for dual-credit. Applications are given out before Christmas break, are due in Mid-January, and interviews typically take place in February.
