Virtual Reality Apps

Virtual reality is a tool that can take us to a different place using computers or devices such as smart phones and tablets.  Typically, in order to use virtual reality,  VR glasses or headset is required.  Google Cardboard is an inexpensive type of virtual reality goggle that allows us to experience virtual reality by using VR goggles together with a smart phone or tablet.  The Midland Media Center offers twenty-five pairs of Google Cardboard goggles for students and teachers.

An action/racing game with a bit of strategy and bio science thrown into the mix
in a rare and highly unusual micro world of the carefully recreated human cell.

Welcome to the first version of the VR/Exposition. This exposition has been created for the Zeiss VR One and Google Cardboard headsets. We are investigating new ways to connect the real art world to the virtual world. This virtual reality exposition has been created in cooperation with two artist:


Patrick Hughes (London)

This artist makes 'reverspective' art that moves whilst you walk around it. We virtualised one of his works to demonstrate this in a virtual environment.


Cathalijn Wouters (Amsterdam)

Cathalijn makes lovely paintings of abstract art. She uses a combination of paint and charcoal. Let yourself me inspired by the beauty of her art.
