Mr. Gauwitz's Desk

I have lived in the current Midland community for my entire life. I graduated from Midland High School in 1999. I met my wife Sarah during high school at a wedding our senior year and married in 2005. We have two wonderful boys (Quin and Kyler) who keep us extremely busy. I attended Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin where I played baseball and obtained my degree in History Education.

I started my teaching career here at Midland High School in 2004. I taught most of the social studies classes, coached basketball, coached baseball, and sponsored student council for the high school. I pursued a degree in Educational Leadership at Western University in 2010.

I served two years as Athletic Director and one year as Assistant Principal. I assumed the title of principal in fall of 2015. I truly love this community and I promise to continually strive to make this  high school a safe and positive learning environment for our future leaders. Remember: “It’s a great day to be a Timberwolf.”
